JACOB T. TOKUNAGA is an Associate in the Honolulu office and a member of the labor and employment law department. He assists in all aspects of labor law and employment litigation and counseling. He completed his law degree at William S. Richardson School of Law and earned his Master of Human Resource Management from the Shidler College of Business. While in law school, Mr. Tokunaga was a member of the Robert F. Wagner Labor and Employment Law Moot Court Team and a recipient of the Jackson Lewis Labor and Employment Law Scholarship. During and after law school, Mr. Tokunaga assisted in the Re-Employment and Community Service Program (RACS) at Volunteer Legal Services Hawaiʻi. Mr. Tokunaga’s other past experience includes roles as a Human Resources Specialist and Supervisory Human Resources Specialist where he focused on areas that included policy administration, recruitment and placement, pay classification, position management, and employee compensation. Mr. Tokunaga also served with the Hawaii National Guard for fourteen years and has completed certification as a Society for Human Resource Management Certified Professional (SHRM-CP).
